“Through incorporating real plants as former architectural elements, we create stronger connections with our environment. As we resonate with all living things.”
Airy is a research project about living environments and domestic plants. How we frame nature to fit whiten the human scale, its limitation and possibilities. This research studies the relationship this relationship, from the most technical data about growth and living conditions to the more philosophical side of human - nature symbiosis.
Apart from the data recompilation and synthesis, I’ve also dived into new possible solutions to provide alternative insights on the human - nature domestic dynamic. In the next spreads there are a few visualizations that show a flooring system that would allow vegetation to grow directly from the ground. Opening up traditionally stablished architectural volumes we could minimize human control over plants, allowing nature to grow with us, freely.
